Many natural therapies are unapproved, requiring practitioners to submit applications to the Therapeutics Goods Administration prior to prescribing. Your consultation fee covers: the doctor’s time, submission of relevant applications, writing of prescriptions and provision of prescriptions to a pharmacy.

The cost of treatment is dependent on the dose and regimen as prescribed by your doctor. Treatment with natural therapies are not currently subsidised by the Pharmaceutical Benefits Scheme and patients will need to pay for the full cost of treatment. We encourage patients to discuss consultation and prescription fees with their individual health insurer.

Prior to your initial consultation, you will be able to elect a preferred pharmacy from our list of partners. The prescribing doctor will send your prescription directly to the pharmacy of your choosing. 

If all repeats on your prescription have been dispensed, any further prescriptions will need to be discussed directly with your doctor at a follow-up appointment.

A follow-up appointment is a scheduled visit to your doctor to ensure your symptoms are managed in accordance with a personalised care plan. This affords your doctor the opportunity to effectively treat your condition/s, manage any possible side-effects and ensure continuity of care.
